DOT COM - Term 3

Hi everybody,

Welcome to a brand new term. Hope you had a good break during the June holidays. This term we have intresting softwares lined up for you.

We will be learning to design some intresting stuffs using Adobe Illustrator. We have learnt to create a Mother's Day card for your mum's. I am sure your mum's should have been very happy to receive a card designed by you.

We will be creating 3D images & Desktop wallpaper using Illustrator. You can design your own wallpaper for your desktop or laptop at home. Here you go with some samples of the wallpaper .... Check this out!

Shall show you more samples on 1st July (Tuesday)

From Illustrator we will be moving on to learn Dreamweaver & Flash , which will help us to design websites and will also enable the P5 pupils to enter the competitions next year (if they continue to stay with DOT COM Club in 2009).

Have fun learning !

The new DOTCOM season

Following this new term, DOTCOM has started again! YAY! I just wonder what we are going to learn though... Maybe advanced photoshop? Anyway, let's celebrate that DOTCOM has started again!

Wetpaint

I found a website that allows you to create wikis like Wikipedia. It's called Wetpaint (Google it) and you can create wikis for your friends to edit. It can be used for projects by letting your friends add stuff in it. It also can be used to find people with the same interests with you.

Thank goodness for Windows users! We can now be comic writers!

Hi, this is Trumann. I, for one, is a windows user and I have longed for the 'Comic Life' program we see in the lab. Thank God! I just found that there's a Windows version of Comic Life' available. There's a 30-days trail made downloadable on the manufacturers','plasq' website. You can also order either the standard or the deluxe version from the same page. There's also a 'Comic Life' gallery linked from the very same page. To get there, click here.

Podomatic

It 's been some time, I have entered some posts online. You guys are coming along well, this term. The logos that you created for our group last week was fantastic. Most of you folllowed the rules of coyrights. Well done!

I happened to browse the net and found this website www.podomatic.com that has podcasts readily available for you. Moreover, you can record the podcasts online too. Check it out!
